EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Oklahoma Bar Association invites students statewide to submit creative projects such as writing and drawing for its annual Law Day contest. Further details on contest rules and submission guidelines will be available soon (contact the association for information). The Lawton Constitution
- ➤ The Lawton Public Library will host a computer basics workshop today from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Center for Creative Living to help participants learn basic computer skills such as using a mouse, keyboard and managing files, and registration is required (call 580-248-0471). ABC 7
- ➤ FISTA STEM offers free robotics classes for middle and high school students every Tuesday in January from 4-5 p.m. at its Lab and Makerspace in Lawton (register by emailing [email protected]). ABC 7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lawton Area Transit System will host hiring events Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with on-site interviews for mechanic, driver and janitor positions; job seekers should bring a resume or fill one out onsite + more details are available online. ABC 7
