COMMUNITY NEWS

  • KSWO in partnership with the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum honored Victoria Jeanette Texter—37 years old and a dedicated employee at Federal Employees Credit Union for 14 years—on Day 142 of remembrance for those lost in the Oklahoma City Bombing. She, who studied at Rose State College and lived in Oklahoma City since 1981, enjoyed making porcelain dolls and gardening.  ABC 7
  • Lawton’s community calendar shows events from March 26 to 28 that will bring art, history and family activities to the city—on Wednesday a free mixed media art workshop will be held at Carnegie Library Town Hall and on March 27 a two-day New Deal symposium will feature sessions and a community BBQ at Ron Stephens Stadium. Other events include a military spouses resiliency pottery event at A Pigment of Your Imagination on March 27, a gang awareness conference with free lunch at Lawton City Hall on March 28, and a World of Outlaws sprint car race at Lawton Speedway on March 28.  ABC 7
