COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ A series of community events will take place across Texoma this week. The schedule includes a free Tai Chi session at Patterson Community Center on Thursday, a rattlesnake hunt in Waurika from Thursday to Sunday, a superhero ball at Flores Hall on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., a health expo at the Comanche County Fairgrounds on Friday, and a Shakespeare festival in Duncan on April 11 and 12—giving residents multiple ways to participate. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ KSWO — in partnership with the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum — paid tribute to Wanda Lee Watkins, a 49-year-old clerk who worked at the recruiting office in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, on Day 156 of the 168 Days of Remembrance for those who lost their lives on April 19. ABC 7
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Comanche County Health Department is hosting several health events in Lawton this week—Tuesday, April 8 at Hungry Hearts Feeding Ministry from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Mobile Wellness Unit will offer free checkups. On Thursday, April 10 the department will hold a Tai Chi class at the Patterson Community Center Gym from 10 to 11 a.m.—and a Food Handler Class at its office from 4 to 5 p.m. ABC 7
