- ➤ United Way of Southwest Oklahoma is 20% short of its 2025 monetary goal and 18% below last year's funds. This shortfall may force cuts to services for children and seniors, leaving partner agencies with a tougher time meeting community needs — funds that normally stay in the local area. ABC 7

- ➤ Military leaders and industry partners will attend a spring conference in Lawton—hosted by the US Field Artillery Association and Air Defense Artillery Association—to focus on modernizing artillery systems and preparing Soldiers for large-scale conflicts at the new conference center in the Fires Innovation Science and Technology Accelerator. - ➤ Cache Mayor Scott Brown appeared on TV on April 7 to outline plans to improve infrastructure — he said he will upgrade the sewer system, water services, roads, and rebuild tennis courts and baseball fields after winning his second term. ABC 7
- ➤ The REAL ID deadline is May 7 and Lawton residents who still need one must bring an original birth certificate, two proofs of Oklahoma residency, and a Social Security Number. More than two million Oklahomans already have their REAL ID — it is required to board domestic flights, get on military bases, and enter some federal buildings. ABC 7
