COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Residents have many events this weekend. The 63rd Annual Waurika Rattlesnake Hunt runs today from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.—raising funds for local firefighters—while Lawton's Trykes ‘N’ Tread Car Show takes place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with additional family fun in Medicine Park and Marlow.  ABC 7

CRIME NEWS

  • The Lawton Police Department is seeking help locating 11-year-old Adrian Cooper, who went missing Thursday night at 10 p.m. between SW. 27 St. and H Ave.—police say he may be in danger.  ABC 7

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Brig. Gen. Rory Crooks had a farewell ceremony on April 11 at Fort Sill’s historic Old Post Quad after serving multiple assignments on the post — he will take on his next role as Deputy Commanding General Support for the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas.  ABC 7
