- ➤ The community remembered 47-year-old Sharon Louise Wood-Chesnut on Day 166 of the Oklahoma City Bombing Remembrance—she worked at the Social Security office after returning from Louisiana, grew up in Del City, earned a business degree, and was active at Christ Lutheran Church while being survived by her daughter Nikki and two stepchildren. - ➤ Older adults can join the SAIL Class at the Patterson Center in Lawton offered by the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative and Lawton Public Library on Monday and Wednesday mornings until May 14 from 11 a.m. until noon—designed to improve strength and balance. The Apache Rattlesnake Festival will run from tomorrow through Sunday and will feature hands-on snake experiences, over 250 vendors, live music and fair foods. ABC 7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students at Cameron University made personalized stamped metal bracelets today at Bentley Gardens. They chose from gold, copper, and silver strips and stamped names and graduation years with a mallet—offering a budget-friendly accessory as the Native American Intertribal Association plans similar events next semester. - ➤ Lawton Public Library is hosting a Vex Robotics class for children to learn robotics and problem solving today (4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.). ABC 7
