  • Today we remember John Albert 'Buddy' Youngblood, a 52-year-old Yukon resident who became the 168th victim of the April 19 explosion at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building by dying from lung complications caused by smoke inhalation—he worked as a special agent with the Office of Motor Carriers and is survived by several family members.  ABC 7

ECONOMY NEWS

  • The 2025 Fires Symposium drew over 1,500 attendees to Lawton-Fort Sill from the U.S. military, defense partners, and staff from 35 countries, boosting downtown business. Local spots like Boomarang Diner and Hilton Garden Inn saw sales rise between 5 and 10 percent daily—officials plan more events to support downtown redevelopment—sparking optimism in the community.  ABC 7

HEALTH NEWS

  • Health officials released measles update numbers for Oklahoma and Texas. Oklahoma reported no new cases with a total of 12 (9 confirmed and 3 probable) while Texas counted 597 cases, including 56 new ones, and officials will update the figures every Tuesday and Friday at 12 p.m.  ABC 7
