- ➤ Cameron University will host a CU Money Smart summer camp from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. from June 10 to June 12 at Cynthia S. Ross Hall on its Lawton campus to help children learn money management skills—registration is required and there is no fee. ABC 7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City of Lawton officials are cleaning up flood damage today and preparing for more heavy rains this evening into Wednesday—efforts focus on minimizing further flooding risks. The Lawton Constitution
- ➤ The Oklahoma Historical Society announced that Lawton Public Library was awarded $25,000 through the Oklahoma Heritage Preservation Grant Program + the award names the library as one of two local entities recognized for preserving state heritage. - ➤ Rep. Daniel Pae from Lawton was named one of the 2025 Oklahoma Achievers Under 40 today by the Journal Record & the honor recognizes his leadership in government. The award highlights his contributions in public service. The Lawton Constitution

- ➤ During Organ and Tissue Donation awareness month, a Lawton mother said her daughter’s five-organ donation saved 18 lives by helping patients ranging from infants to a nearly 13-year-old heart recipient—hospital tests and careful support reassured her that the decision was safe. ABC 7
