CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Members of the Kiowa tribe gathered Tuesday at the District 4 Kiowa Tribe Legislative Office to honor Lena Bohay, who died in 2003, and celebrated her life and legacy in Lawton. ABC 7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Cameron University will honor its latest graduates Friday, May 8, with a master’s hooding ceremony at 3 p.m. in the Aggie Gymnasium, Army ROTC commissioning at 5 p.m. in the McCasland Ballroom, and a stage walk at 7:30 p.m. at Cameron Stadium (livestream available, weather delaying to Saturday if needed). - ➤ State legislators signed House Bill 3151 that will raise minimum instructional days for hours based public schools from 166 to 173. The bill will take effect in the 2027 to 28 school year — pending an extra $175 million in State Department of Education funding. ABC 7
