- ➤ Friendship Baptist Church in Lawton is hosting a free food giveaway today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1421 SW New York Avenue, and residents must be on site to receive a bag of groceries on a first-come, first-served basis. ABC 7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Cameron University offers theater majors two tracks — the technical track teaches skills like sound, lighting, and set design while the performance track builds abilities in acting and public speaking. Students gain hands-on experience by producing plays and have opportunities to work with local theaters or try certifications before committing to a full four-year degree. ABC 7
- ➤ Comanche County Memorial Hospital will host its free Summer P.U.L.S.E. Program for high school students from June 9 to 13 to teach hands-on skills like CPR, the Heimlich Maneuver, wound dressing and healthy meal choices. Classes run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day with the June 13 session ending at noon — food is provided for participants. ABC 7

- ➤ Parks Jones Realty rescheduled its Arbor Day Tree Giveaway due to severe weather, and today the first 300 visitors at Naturescape Nursery on NW Cache Road can pick one free, drought-resistant tree from a variety of types. The trees will be available beginning at 9 a.m. and the giveaway marks the 7th annual event. ABC 7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Around 400 soldiers graduated at Fort Sill this week and will soon start Advanced Individual Training for jobs in fields such as artillery and medical support. The ceremony honored two distinguished graduates (Pfc Sebastian Bazz from Delta Battery 1-31 and Pvt Lloyd Kinnicutt from Golf Battery 1-31) who will serve on active duty and in the Army National Guard. - ➤ On Friday, Oklahoma AG Gentner Drummond issued a consumer alert for 23andMe customers after the company declared bankruptcy, warning that personal data and genetic information might be at risk of sale. He provided steps for logging in, downloading data, and permanently deleting or changing storage preferences — measures designed to help secure customer information. ABC 7
