ECONOMY NEWS

➤ Preliminary data shows Oklahoma tourism made $12.8B in revenue in 2025, a 57% jump that supported 110,000 jobs and $954M in tax revenue. Officials urged lawmakers to raise the marketing cap, and a full report will be available later this month. Southwest Ledger

➤ Governor Stitt signed House Bill 1276 last Monday to permanently ban personal cellphones and non-school devices during classes in Oklahoma public schools starting with the 2026-27 school year—lawmakers expect the prohibition to improve classroom focus. Southwest Ledger
