- ➤ Comanche Nation Entertainment will launch its annual school supply drive from June 2 through July 9 at its locations, where guests can donate new supplies Tuesdays through Thursdays (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and members may earn up to $30 in Comanche Credit with qualifying receipts. ABC 7
- ➤ Pigment of Your Imagination partners with the city to replace broken tiles at Kid’s Zone Playground on 38th Street. Families can buy a tile for $25 (including a child’s handprint, name, and age) and painting events were held Friday while continuing today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. ABC 7
- ➤ KSWO is the first Purple Heart television station in Oklahoma after the local Military Order of the Purple Heart chapter honored it in a Wednesday morning ceremony. The designation came with a $1,000 donation to nonprofits (REBOOT, Lawton Airport Welcome Center, and Lawton VA Center) that support veterans. ABC 7
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Roots Ball music festival continues this weekend in Medicine Park. Today at Hitchin’ Post Park, local music acts perform along with food, arts and crafts vendors and shows extend through Sunday, May 24 — the free event invites visitors to explore local shops and restaurants. ABC 7
