  • On Memorial Day, Joslyn Wood & Ralph Pugh took six laps at Fort Sill National Cemetery to honor each service branch and all the veterans, & they urged locals to visit the site and volunteer to care for the memorials.  ABC 7
  • United Way of Southwest Oklahoma announced it distributed $858,822.82 to 24 local programs at the conclusion of its annual Community Investment Cycle—funds that will support essential community services in Lawton.  The Lawton Constitution

  • A recent study by Veterans United Home Loans ranked Lawton as the ninth-best city for veterans to live—based on various quality-of-life factors that help guide their choice of community.  The Lawton Constitution
  • Today the City Council meets to review the new fiscal year budget and set expenditures for the hotel-motel tax (public input is invited) as part of the city's planning for next year.  The Lawton Constitution
