  • A survey in the Tenth Federal Reserve District finds Oklahoma ranchland values jumped nearly 11% in Q1, reaching record highs as local ranchers saw rising cash rents amid a strong cattle market. Cropland values increased modestly, and farm loan interest rates declined slightly.  Southwest Ledger

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a bill on Monday to make the school cell phone ban permanent, requiring districts to enforce a no-phone rule during school hours (allowing exceptions for emergencies) to boost academic outcomes.  ABC 7

  • The Fort Sill Retiree Council supports local veterans and will host its annual golf scramble fundraiser on Friday, June 5 in Lawton. Rich Amadon (mayor of Medicine Park) discussed the council’s mission on a morning show.  ABC 7
