EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Comanche County Memorial Hospital is offering a summer camp called P.U.L.S.E. that will teach teenagers about health careers like nursing, therapy, CPR, and pharmacy through presentations and hands-on activities—helping them explore future volunteer opportunities in hospital work. The program, developed in partnership with the Southwest Area Health Education Center, will increase participation by front-loading the camp format to fit busy summer schedules. ABC 7

- ➤ The City of Lawton will issue a $142 million revenue bond series to fund five new projects, including museum repairs— and it will refinance debt to save money. The Lawton Constitution
- ➤ Oklahoma Attorney General Drummond joined 27 other attorneys general to challenge 23andMe and halt the sale of DNA data from over 15 million customers—an effort aimed at protecting Americans' genetic privacy. Over the weekend, the former 23andMe CEO won a bid to buy the company and its genetic database—bankruptcy court will soon approve the deal in a hearing this week. ABC 7

3rd annual set free praise dance conference
This community event is to encourage and empower our youth and young adults to use their gift of dance to build their relationship with God and draw others to Him. We are also bridging the generational gap with our youth to mentor and share life experiences to help them become servant leaders. Friday night will be a night of praise and worship, with instruction on the importance of covering as ministers and how colors have important meaning. Saturday will be all-day workshops including dance technique, mime, and lyrical dance. Each dancer will have two dance workshops based on their training and experience.
