- ➤ This weekend the 14th annual Tomato Festival took place at the Lawton Farmers Market where residents enjoyed tomato contests+ salsa competitions and activities that promoted healthy living. Organizers said those who missed out can look forward to next year’s event. ABC 7
- ➤ Today in Lawton, the Southwest Oklahoma Corvette Club donated $10,000 to the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma after a fundraiser at Apache Casino Hotel raised a total of $20,000, with $5,000 each already given to Embrace Hope Shelter and Family Promise. The center’s COO said the funds will support transportation programs and screenings for uninsured patients. ABC 7

3rd annual set free praise dance conference
This community event is to encourage and empower our youth and young adults to use their gift of dance to build their relationship with God and draw others to Him. We are also bridging the generational gap with our youth to mentor and share life experiences to help them become servant leaders. Friday night will be a night of praise and worship, with instruction on the importance of covering as ministers and how colors have important meaning. Saturday will be all-day workshops including dance technique, mime, and lyrical dance. Each dancer will have two dance workshops based on their training and experience.
