COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ The City of Lawton has set Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the 2025 Fall Open Streets event. The event will close C Avenue between 2nd and 5th streets in downtown for walking, biking, skating—organized with help from local partners. ABC 7
- ➤ Iola Noble was named the new President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Oklahoma and will start on August 18, replacing interim CEO Carol Herrick—she will lead the group in raising funds and building partnerships. ABC 7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ USO Oklahoma hosted Basic Combat Training Soldiers from Echo Battery, 1-79th Field Artillery Battalion at Fort Sill this week to let them relax with snacks, games, and pool tables + learn about USO services that support their training and personal time. ABC 7
