- ➤ VFW Post 1193 in Lawton is hosting its monthly Feed the Community event today from noon until 2 p.m.—providing free meals such as smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes with gravy, and green beans and offering to-go plates after 2 p.m. ABC 7
- ➤ Today the Lawton Police Department hosts the Cops-n-Kids Picnic at Elmer Thomas Park at 10 a.m. where families enjoy fun rides, food+giveaways and K-9 demonstrations. ABC 7
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. to open new additions including the National Treasures Room, Library and the 'Our Favorite Things' exhibit located off Ferris Avenue. ABC 7
