- ➤ The City of Lawton announced its 2025 Halloween events starting with Boo-a-Palooza at the Lawton Public Library on Oct. 28 from 10 to 10:30 a.m.—featuring storytime and a costume parade—and will hold the annual Halloween Bash at City Hall Banquet Room from 3 to 5 p.m., trunk-or-treating at Patterson Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., plus residential trick-or-treating from 6 to 9 p.m. ABC 7

- ➤ Lawton City Council will review staff recommendations to tighten cable fiber installation rules after problems were reported — the proposed changes aim to better control the process. The Lawton Constitution
