EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Cameron University biology student Solomon Meraz won Best Lay Talk and First Place in the Poster Presentation at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Summer Undergraduate Research Experience in Cancer program in Buffalo, New York—he said his success came from the support of his school and Dr. Dana Lee. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ During its 10th session this week, the Lawton Citizens Academy taught residents about how the city court works and what the City Attorney’s Office does at the Public Safety Center — Municipal Judge Nathan Johnson, City Prosecutor Alan Rosenbaum, and Interim City Attorney Timothy Wilson shared their roles. Next week the academy will focus on the Public Works Department as citizens learn more about city operations. ABC 7
