- ➤ State Sen. Bill Coleman convened an interim study for the Senate Public Safety Committee last week to examine ways to prevent domestic violence by proposing measures such as GPS tracking to monitor offenders and enforce protective orders + he said he will introduce a Protection from Domestic Abuse Act when the Legislature meets in February. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ During the government shutdown, civilian employees at Oklahoma military installations were furloughed as they could not work while military operations continued without interruption. Officials said that service members and excepted employees kept training and essential services open—ensuring defense, health care and food services remain available until funding is restored.
