- ➤ The City of Lawton partnered with FISTA for a community Resource Fair held Wednesday at FISTA Innovation Park—City National Bank representatives Christian Downs and Ryan Schemonia spoke with local visitors about available resources. The Lawton Constitution
- ➤ Southwest Toyota announced a holiday partnership with Lawton Food Bank and launched its Cans for a Cause initiative to collect canned goods and help fight hunger across Southwest Oklahoma — the program will run during the holiday season. The Lawton Constitution
- ➤ VFW Post 1193 announced its Feed the Community event for noon to 3 p.m. on Nov. 8—free meals such as turkey, ham, collard greens, and dirty rice will be served on site. ABC 7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ FISTA unveiled its new STEM lab at Innovation Park Tuesday afternoon where children took part in interactive science activities. The facility is expected to enhance hands-on learning and boost interest in STEM subjects for local students. The Lawton Constitution
- ➤ Cameron University hosted its two-day veterans resource fair on Wednesday with groups such as the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs and the Federal VA Vet Center offering information on medical, job, and education benefits. Veterans affairs coordinator Vicki Henson said the event is special to her and that those who missed day one can visit the first floor of the McMahon Centennial Complex today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ABC 7
