- ➤ The Comanche Indian Veterans Association will host its 49th Annual Veterans Day Powwow Tuesday — the event honors veterans and invites local community members to participate. The Lawton Constitution
- ➤ The Comanche Nation is partnering with local businesses in Lawton to hold food drives that collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations with drop-offs at Classic Lawton Chevrolet and 6941 West Gore from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Dec. 31. Donors who bring 10 items will be eligible for a drawing at Lopez Dental Associates to win an Electric Toothbrush, WaterPik Combo, with the giveaway ending Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. — the drawing will occur on that day. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ MacArthur High School held a Veterans Day Program on Thursday to honor veterans working at the school and in the community. The event featured veteran family members of JROTC cadets and leaders from Fort Sill Fires Center of Excellence — school officials expressed sincere thanks for their service. ABC 7
- ➤ Students in John Cullison's construction trades class at Lawton Public Schools Life Ready Center are crafting a forest of colorful Christmas trees for an upcoming craft show — a project that showcases their growing skills in construction and design. The Lawton Constitution
