- ➤ House of Bread is accepting donations for its Hope for Christmas event as it plans to support local families this holiday season—aiming to bring needed help to the community. The donations will fund the program and assist those in need locally. The Lawton Constitution
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Artist and tribal leader Enoch Kelly Haney was born near Seminole today in 1940 and served as principal chief of the Seminole Nation as well as in the Oklahoma Legislature. He created noted paintings and sculptures—like The Guardian on the Capitol dome—and passed away in April 2022. ABC 7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Cameron University Alumni Association hosted its Souperbowl event today at McCasland Ballroom as soup chefs, including professor Dr. Edris Montalvo, competed with creative recipes like taco soup and cinnamon roll soup. Organizers Karin Bailey and Allanah Myers-Young said the event helped students, staff, and alumni warm up as the weather got chill — they plan to hold another one in the future. ABC 7
