- ➤ Lawton police and teachers hosted the annual Shop With a Cop event today at Target; students received gift cards for holiday shopping, with Target supplying treats & the LPD Auxiliary wrapping gifts. ABC 7
- ➤ Kelly Longfellow is reuniting families through vintage fabric squares from the 1940s—each square bearing a name that sparked community memories when shared on a local Facebook group—and she plans to complete a friendship quilt to honor long-held ties among Lawton residents. ABC 7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Cameron University announced adjusted holiday hours with administrative offices closed from Dec.22 to Jan.5, the library operating from Dec.15 to 19 before closing Dec.20 to Jan.4, and the Aggie Rec Center on a modified schedule with closures on Christmas and New Year's Day; spring classes begin Jan.12.
