- ➤ United Way of Southwest Oklahoma needs support from local residents to close a $250,000 gap in its $1.2 million annual fundraising goal (the funds will help 16 nonprofits provide food, health care, and education to families). ABC 7
- ➤ Volunteers placed wreaths at veterans’ graves at Highland Cemetery and Fort Sill sites over the weekend as part of the annual Wreaths Across America event to honor service members. The local activity brought community members together in remembrance. ABC 7
- ➤ Lawton Farmers Market will host its Enchanted Evening event tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Market, featuring local vendors and live music to support holiday sales and foster an annual tradition. ABC 7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Cache High School celebrated its esports team on Dec. 15 by honoring them for winning three state championships and expanding their gaming program from consoles to computers. Coach Joshua English expressed gratitude and looks ahead to a next season with hopes for a national title. ABC 7
