- ➤ Organizations from the Lawton-Fort Sill community were honored on Dec. 18 at Lawton City Hall Banquet Room for providing meals, shelter and support to military personnel and their families during the government shutdown — 21 groups were recognized by AUSA National for their local service. ABC 7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Officer Charlie Whittington and Tarra Jones discussed holiday safety, the Coffee with Cop event, and a bell ringing for the Salvation Army during a special 7News segment. The interview outlined winter plans for local law enforcement and the community. ABC 7
- ➤ Lawton Parks and Recreation Department will install new security cameras in several local parks to improve public safety and deter vandalism and illegal activity. The upgrades are set to begin soon to help protect neighborhoods. The Lawton Constitution
